Climalert project presented at a conference on emergency management in the event of natural disasters
On April 22nd, members of the Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia presented the Climalert project in the online conference “Development of multi-risk platforms for the improvement of emergency management in the event of natural disasters”, organized by the National School of Civil Protection.
During the intervention, it was explained what is this platform designed to warn of potential extreme weather effects such as droughts, fires, floods and soil erosion in the Sudoe area (Portugal, Spain and part of France), as well as its benefits and state of development.
In addition, other initiatives were presented at the event to respond to emergency situations that seek to help the exposed populations to avoid human losses, damage to infrastructure and the resulting economic damage.
